How it all started

Working within the aircraft industry for many years as a highly qualified engineer, Peter Quinn is skilled in providing innovative technical solutions. Some six years ago he wanted to build some furniture for his kitchen but hit on a common problem. This is what he has to say today.

“I found that there was a void in the market for a tool that would make jointing easy, quick and above all accurate. There was a whole basket assortment of expensive tools available, but not one single tool option that gave me a comprehensive jointing capability – so I decided to design the tool required myself!”

Peter’s initial specifications were simple. The tool had to be easy and quick to use, versatile, pinpoint accurate, made in a quality durable material and above all value for money. This was achieved with the early prototypes and after a six year development and patenting programme the product was launched in 2005.

Since then the Joint-Genie system has wowed people at major shows and the specifications have been refined according to market response. The reaction to the system from hobbyist and professional tradesman has been extremely positive.

The specialist press also welcomed Joint-Genie with enthusiasm and praise. Joint-Genie is constantly developing the system, adding parts and accessories to the range. The development story does not end here, in fact it has only just started….
